Before being asked to work with a consumer, all volunteers will be screened and oriented.

Volunteers under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian or be under the supervision of a high school community service program.

Volunteers read for people in their homes, work places, nursing homes, and public places such as local churches or community libraries.
